Student Ministry has been done. Look around our area at other churches and you will see everything from simple home meetings to multimillion dollar, high-energy production driven experiences and everything in between. At the Suncoast, in the last four years we have tried small group settings to live production experiences. So, as we begin to discover what student ministry REALLY looks like at the Suncoast, we aren’t interested in having yet another ministry environment, because that is what everyone else is doing. What we want, is to help students who are far from God, take their next steps. That is our goal. That is our motivation. That is our vision. There is no one formula for a revolutionary student ministry. There is however a formula for seeing students changed by the revolutionary love of God.

 

So, since the vision is solid, but the methods are always fluid, we are not going to spend a lot of sideways energy creating something that works for a small percentage of the students and will only be “cool” for the next year and a half. That means we have wiped out “student specific ministry” to focus our energies into getting students serving and connected with each other in the church, AS THE CHURCH. See we think students are not the church of tomorrow they are the church of today!

Our students also try to sit together and worship together on Sundays, so look for them!
